“Aubrey was born in Jamaica, grew up in Canada, and drums like he’s from South Carolina.” - James Blood Ulmer, Music Revelation Ensemble

Drummer Aubrey Dayle has quite a story to tell, and great jazz music to share. In 2013, Aubrey’s life was saved when he had a kidney transplant. His wife, Julie, was the donor.

Aubrey (James Blood Ulmer, David Murray, John Popper) will play together with his bandmates, guitarist Kim Ratcliffe (David Clayton Thomas, Ron Sexsmith, Holly Cole), bassist Roger Williams (Chaka Kahn, Taj Mahal, Tito Puente) and saxophonist Richard Underhill (Blue Rodeo, Dr. John, Molly Johnson).

The film, Stay Aubrey, is a powerful documentary about a musician's struggle with illness, a wife's unconditional love and selflessness, and other stories that weave the message of this film, and follow the rhythm of a drummer's tale!
