The horror-thriller Crawlers centers on a rapidly spreading venomous spider infestation at the Paradiso Palms apartment complex in Los Angeles, which is placed under a strict police lockdown after an outbreak is mistaken for a contagious virus.
Building manager Serena, portrayed by Matilda Lutz, must overcome her debilitating arachnophobia and utilize her knowledge of the complex to guide the surviving residents through graphic body-horror encounters before authorities purge the building.
