Insidious: Out of the Further follows Gemma, a young mother raising her daughter Maya in her old childhood home. When evil demons and a sinister cult leader named Cyrus realize what she can do, they try to use Gemma and Maya as human gates to cross over permanently. Joined by psychic Elise Rainier, Gemma faces her own hidden family trauma and uncovers a protective secret from her past. She uses her unique gift to trick the cult and trap the malevolent forces back inside The Further, securing a hard-fought victory for the living.
