The Invite follows a bickering, long-married couple, Joe (Seth Rogen) and Angela (Olivia Wilde), who invite their charismatic, free-spirited upstairs neighbors, Hawk (Edward Norton) and Piña (Penélope Cruz), over for dinner in their San Francisco apartment. The seemingly simple get-together is a desperate attempt to reignite the spark in their stagnant marriage and break out of a deep emotional rut.
